Dear Susan,
Our “sunny
Susan” as Sue Harley said. As I read through the comments posted after
Margaret’s heart-wrenching report of your passing, I am struck by the impact of
your too-short life.
Your verve,
your vivacity, your joy and love for the adventures of art in all forms shine
throughout the comments of your CADANC family. We met you at seminars and
paint-ins, at the founding of chapters and the saving of them. Through
all that, your warm and welcoming smile, your firm belief that we could ALL do
this thing you loved – to paint, to sculpt, to share, to color outside the box
and still have something beautiful to enjoy.
Your
leaving caught us all by surprise. Surreal, said Vivian and she was so
right. Your leaving has left our hearts broken, knowing we will miss the
sunshine of your smile. Our chapter will go on, but there will forever be
an empty spot at the table where your smiling face would be.
I will
close with this quote from Trish: You were truly a force of nature – fun,
fearless, adventurous, talented, hardworking, smart, and a friend.
A true
treasure.
Susan, once
again you pave our way, and we will see you on the other side of the Rainbow
Bridge.
We love
you, Your CADANC family
